Acceptance of terms

By using FilKlar, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Continued use of FilKlar after changes to the terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

What FilKlar is

FilKlar is a collection of free, browser-based file tools for PDF, images, and other formats. All processing happens locally in your browser — your files are never uploaded to our servers.

FilKlar is intended for personal, non-commercial use. We reserve the right to limit access if the service is used in automated or abusive ways.

Acceptable use

You agree to use FilKlar only for lawful purposes. You may not use the service to process content that is illegal, offensive, or violates the rights of others.

Even though files are processed locally and we have no access to their contents, you are responsible for the files you choose to work with.

Your files — your responsibility

FilKlar does not store, upload, or transmit your files. All file processing happens on your device. This means:

You are solely responsible for the files you process, for keeping backups, and for ensuring you have the right to use those files. We recommend always keeping copies of original files before processing.

Intellectual property and source code

FilKlar is open source. The source code is available under the applicable license on GitHub. You may use, inspect, and contribute to the code within the terms of that license.

The FilKlar name, logo, and design are protected and may not be used without permission.

Disclaimer of warranties

FilKlar is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the tools will produce correct results in all cases, or that the service will be available at all times.

We are not liable for any loss, damage, or corruption of files resulting from the use of FilKlar. Use the tools at your own risk.

Availability

We strive to keep FilKlar available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may take the service offline for maintenance or updates without notice.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated on the website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes shall be handled by Norwegian courts.
