PDF quick fixes (a tiny checklist when you just need it done)
A quick, slightly-too-honest checklist for the most common PDF tasks — done locally in your browser, without uploading your file.
PDFs have one job: look the same everywhere. Unfortunately, your job is usually: make it different.
Here’s the short checklist I wish every PDF came with.
The “just fix it” checklist
- Merge PDF — when you have two files that should really be one.
- Split PDF — when you only need a few pages (or want to extract pages).
- Compress PDF — when the file is weirdly huge for no good reason.
- Rotate PDF — because someone scanned it sideways. Always.
- Remove PDF metadata — when you want a cleaner, more private file.
Bonus rule: if a tool makes you upload a sensitive document for a basic task, pause and ask “do I need that?” Local processing exists for a reason.
